Orlando, FL – October 2010 – Multicom is pleased to announce additional classes for the MFH-2 and Intro to Fiber Optics courses. Both courses are being presented by Foxcom, include official SBCA certification, and the courses are being held at the Multicom facilities near Orlando, FL. Due to the demand, additional classes are now being added for December 16 and 17, 2010.
MFH-2 has become the standard for most DirecTV installations and certification is required to perform those installations. MFH-2 is a fiber optic transport system that allows L-Band RF signals from a set of satellite dishes to be converted to fiber, transported to multiple MDUs and residences, and then converted back to RF, simplifying distribution installations and eliminating the need and expense for many dishes on every building in a complex.
With ARRA and Broadband Stimulus, Fiberoptics are being deployed at an ever-increasing rate. System design, installation, testing, and maintenance are critical for successful reliable fiberoptic networks.
These two courses provide the knowledge and expertise necessary to install, troubleshoot, and maintain these advanced systems properly. Students will learn about and be certified in: identifying the necessary components, understanding the differences with alternate distribution systems and technologies, understanding and using system design specifications, system design and considerations, proper installation, system troubleshooting, test and measurement tools, ongoing maintenance, and much more.
“Multicom prides itself in helping to educate the industry and in driving customer success and satisfaction. Due to the demand, additional classes are now being added for December.
