AdventHealth Pink On Parade 5K Race and Fundraiser

October 9th, 2022 – AdventHealth’s Pink on Parade 5K honors the incredible individuals in our community and their families who have been touched by breast cancer.

Ray Shedden and his wife Jackie, a breast cancer survivor, were joined by more members of their large family to help raise awareness, and celebrate the survivors of cancer and commemorate those that have been lost.

Cancer survivor Jackie Shedden, wife of Multicom VP Ray Shedden, and Sarah Shedden their oldest daughter participated in this Cancer Fundraiser to raise funds to provide free mammograms, a very personal cause due to Jackie and her mom both having had breast cancer.

The entire Shedden family participated in this Cancer Fundraiser for kids battling cancer. This is a very personal cause due to the Shedden family losing their son to cancer.

Run or walk the festive 3-mile route through SeaWorld to the sound of holiday bells and finish in a runner’s wonderland with holiday treats for all finishers! Celebrating 24 years of holiday cheers!


Miles for Moffitt 5K, Nov 20, 2021 – Love, Courage, and Finding the Cure for Cancer

The Shedden family participated in this Cancer Fundraiser for sarcoma cancer research sponsored by Moffitt Cancer Center. A record number of over 7,000 participants raised $1.25 million for cancer research. The Moffitt Cancer Center, works tirelessly in the areas of patient care, research, and education to advance one step further in fighting this disease. If you are inclined, here is your chance to give.


Multicom Employees/Family Volunteered at “New Hope For Kids” this Weekend for  Construction and Landscaping Projects in their “Garden of Hope”

Multicom employee Ray and Jackie Shedden volunteered for a “Community Serve Day” on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the “New Hope for Kids” center https://newhopeforkids.org/ where assistance and counseling are provided to kids (3-19 years old), in central Florida who have lost a parent or who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Over 7,000 kids have benefited from these services, family events, resource information, referrals, and programs.

TOOLS 4 SEMINOLE SCHOOLS:

Multicom employee Ray and Jackie Shedden (L&R of the yellow pencil), volunteered for the “Community Serve Day” on Saturday, Oct 24, 2020, at the “Tools 4 Seminole Schools” center where donations are received from individuals, families, stores, corporations, and other charitable groups to help schools and teachers provide materials to students at risk or in need and to aid teachers with free materials that many times come out of their own personal funds to fill the needs they see with students in their classrooms.


MILES FOR MOFFITT:

Multicom employee Ray and Jackie Shedden and family walked/ran the Moffitt Cancer Center “Miles for Moffitt” Virtual 5K Run/Walk in October 2020 to raise money for cancer research over 13,000 people participated.  Over $1million was raised so far with this event.

Multicom’s President & CEO, Sherman Miller, and his lovely wife, delivered a cake of appreciation, ‘In Honor of our Men and Women in Blue’, to the Winter Park, FL, Police Department.


Multicom Participates in Idyllwilde Elementary Future Ready Academy ‘Teach In’

Multicom employees Matt Conrad and Paul Lindstrom participated in the Idyllwilde Elementary Future Ready Academy ‘Teach-In’, by solving the mystery, “How does a TV signal get from the TV station to your house?”. From fiber optics to coaxial cable, and satellite signals to antennas, the kids left our learning session with lots of new-found knowledge.
