TITLE: GPON Sales III

CLASSIFICATION: Salaried Exempt

SUMMARY: Acts as sales point of contact for customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar position
  • Some experience with computer software desirable
  • Good phone personality

JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Supervised by Sales Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Takes calls for customers and identifies proper products to satisfy their requirements.  Has a deep understanding of products and is able to explain complex technical specifications.  Understands customer markets and product offerings from a wide variety of suppliers.

Acts as contact point for larger / specific market segment customers, developing a relationship with customer purchasing counterparts.  Handles quality and application issues.

Enters orders into computer system and notifies Purchasing of any expedite items.

Prospects for new customers through contacts or other sources.
